Healing and Wellness
Healing Yoga Foundation offers developmental and therapeutic Yoga programs that address the needs of the whole person according to the individual's capability and interest and which specifically seek to empower each client in their own healing and wellness processes. Yoga practices prescribed may include:
  • Appropriate physical postures (asana)
  • Breathing practices (pranayama)
  • Meditation (dhyanam)
  • Guided self-inquiry (svadhyaya)
  • Chanting and Sound
  • Yoga Philosophy (Yoga Sutras of Patanjali)


  • Personalized Individual Yoga programs
  • We offer one-on-one consultations and classes.
  • An HYF teacher designs and monitors a course of practice that directly addresses the studentŐs specific needs, abilities, situation and therapeutic and/or wellness goals.


  • Initial Consultation:
    First Session - 90 Minutes initial intake, consultation and program
    Second Session - 30 Minutes - Follow Up

    Rate:$185.00

    Follow-Up Sessions:
    45 to 90 Minutes (depending on each individual)

    Rate:$90 an hour (pro rated)

    In preparation, please wear loose and comfortable clothing and we will provide anything you might need.

    Cancellation Policy: We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. We will need to charge 50% of service fee if cancellation is within 48 hours of the appointment. If you need to reschedule an appointment please let us know.

    As a non-profit organization, HYF's purpose is to make the healing benefits of Yoga accessible to any and all who wish to experience them, regardless of health, age, background, ability or financial means. Therefore, Healing Yoga Foundation offers need based financial assistance for individuals when it applies.

    Group Classes
  • Group classes are designed to address a specific topic or need, and teachers provide individual attention and care for each student.


  • We offer small group classes to health-affected and underserved populations, both independently and in collaboration with the medical and health care community.

    Special Interest Classes
    Healing Yoga Foundation also offers classes, continuing education opportunities, and general support for Yoga teachers and others seeking in-depth study of the principles of Yoga, in addition to and in conjunction with our National Teacher Training Programs. These classes include:
  • Individual and small group classes on the principles, practices and philosophies of Yoga, such as The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, The Bhagavad Gita, Vedic chanting, Pranayama, Meditation, etc.
  • Community lectures, events and special workshops and intensives.
  • Sponsorship of specialized workshops and events bringing renowned teachers from India and around the world to the U.S.

  • Each class we offer for healing and wellness, whether personalized, individual instruction or small group classes with a specialized focus, is designed to meet the needs, capabilities, life circumstances and goals of each student for the purpose of, but not limited to:
  • Reducing pain and discomfort, overcoming physical or emotional trauma, and recovering from illness, injury, addiction, or other health concerns
  • Maintaining current health/well-being, preventing illness or injury, and increasing flexibility and strength including preparing for, or complementing an existing health maintenance or fitness program
  • Reducing stress, overcoming depression, anxiety, and psychological trauma, and helping to manage and deal with life-threatening illness
  • Personal and/or spiritual growth. In the case of spiritual growth, we feel it is important to note that the course followed would be initiated by the client's own interest and complimentary to the client's personal religious practices, beliefs, and preferences, with respect for the same or lack thereof.
